Please email Adrienne the best 1st birthday photo you take of your baby so we can post them on the website.

Mums Monday: Carole’s House
10:00am Monday 3 December
238 Nile Street, Nelson
Directions: Drive down Nile Street until you reach Maitai Valley Road, instead of turning up Matai Valley Road go straight ahead over the one-way bridge. Drive up a little further until you see a group of 4 garages on the right hand side. Find a park on the road and look out for our garage with the no. 238 and a blue stingray on the side of it. Walk up the private driveway until you reach our house (about 4 up the drive). There’s a steepish path to walk up and then either walk up the side of the house or onto the deck.
Future meetings include going to Whitnie’s house next week for our First Birthdays Celebration – Whitnie has a cake prepared and some leftover decorations from Ayla’s party. Don’t forget our Family Christmas Celebration: arranged by Brigid on Sunday 17 December at Rabbit Island – look out for her emails. To finish off the year we will meet at Founder’s Park cafe (free entry for cafe visitors) on 18 December which brings us to Christmas and New Year’s Day both falling on a Monday this year!
If you have an interesting idea for an outing somewhere baby-friendly – let Adrienne know. You may check ahead on the schedule by selecting the “Schedule” button on the website. Volunteer to host by sending email to Adrienne.

In the race to reach the major milestones — sitting up, crawling and walking — some kids lead the pack while others bring up the rear. Just remember, growing up is not a race and the early leaders may fall back later. Each baby will reach each milestone when he or she is ready — and not before. But if you’re afraid your baby’s falling too far behind, here’s reassurance: What’s normal: Milestones for seven- to 12-month-olds.

Wow, what a lot of information flowing at Lorene’s morning tea – here is a wonderful site for kiwi kids things – http://www.sleepykiwi.com/ – Harvey has an ABC kiwi poster from there. And Olivia has stick-on and iron-on labels from http://www.stuckonyou.co.nz/. We had a fun playtime with the kids – plenty of laughing and singing and sharing of toys. Here are some photos of our beautiful babies:

Hi there everyone,
I thought I should write a quick note to say g’day and let you know what we‘ve been up to. Life has flowen by since our move to the North Island, we are having a good time all the same. Luke is growing and doing new things all the time. He is still not crawling but he can get around pretty fast doing a tummy flop thing. He has 4 teeth (2 up and 2 down) and he loves to yell a lot, especially going around the supermarket he tries to out yell other kids. Hugh is enjoying his job. He has to do some pretty big hours though and he is also studying for an exam that is to be sat next Friday. Can’t wait for that to be over so he has more time with us in the weekends. I am enjoying my part-time courier job. I drive to Huntly 3 times a day on wed, thurs, fri and Luke comes along for the ride too. In between each run I get to come home and Luke has something to eat and a sleep. I find having the extra bit of cash handy especially since the wedding is coming around quickly. Well that’s a quick update for you all. I hope everything is going well in you neck of the woods and I hope to hear from you soon. Enjoy the photo. Take care,
Jill and family.
