Now that Nelson has decided to provide us with some summer warmth, it was lovely to sit under a shady tree on some soft grass and let the warm breeze waft over us. The kids enjoyed Poppy’s car from the toy library and we cut up lots of fruit for them to try. It seems the blueberries were the biggest hit!
We are taking a break from Mum’s Group this week as it’s Nelson Anniversary Day. Mel has planned a Mapua outing for us the week after – we will be going on a walk and then back to her house for coffee.

Rochelle did a great job of our January Birthday celebration. Olivia shared her new bouncy castle and helped Harvey blow out the candles on their cake.
Congratulations to our first walkers! Isla, Freya and Ayla are the first of our wee ones to put one foot in front of the other without assistance.

Next week we will meet out at Adrienne’s parent’s farm – she is farmsitting while they are overseas. Hopefully the weather will allow us to have a picnic on the grass under a big shade tree. Bring sunscreen and some fruit or raw vegetables we can cut up and share with the babies.

Sand is a messy thing, huh? The kids loved it though - must taste good too.
