It was almost called off, but the sun came out and we had an awesome time in the pool! Thanks so much to Mel and Grant (and Harvey!) for having us all over to play.

This Monday is New Year’s Eve and we plan to run around at Tahunanui Beach along with all the tourists.

Our Christmas Party was sensational! Thanks to everyone who helped out before and on the day and to all the Grandparents for coming along and celebrating Christmas with us. I have loaded the family photos as titles so you can click for a high-resolution photo, then right click and download to print them if you wish.

Santa came to our Christmas Party and delivered gifts to some brave and some shy toddlers…

We had a relaxing time at Washbourn Gardens on Monday – the ducks were friendly and lots of other kids were there for a playcentre morning picnic. Here are Poppy & Harvey playing hide & seek….

See you at Mel & Grant’s next week for our Christmas Eve Pool Party (cancelled if raining – wait for txt).

Chloe’s party was a great success with yummy cupcakes and dancing and singing! Shame it was raining and we couldn’t go to the park – however, Lorene did a great job hosting us all at her wee house.

See you all at the Christmas Party! Santa will be making an appearance around 11am so don’t forget to please wrap and name an inexpensive gift for your child/ren and sneak it into Santa’s Bag in Adrienne’s car when you arrive. Santa will call out names but he won’t have his reading glasses so please make it really big & clear!!! Also don’t forget we are having a bouncy castle and will be asking for donations to assist with the hiring fee. Thanks to Whitnie for organising this and to Dan for providing the generator and diesel. There is an on-site BBQ on our site that we will crank up (after Santa leaves) with some collected wood if you’d like to bring meat to cook. There is a picnic table under the shadecloth – bring chairs, picnic blankets & shade tents if you have them.
Our Dec schedule is: Mon 17 Dec – Washborn Gardens to chase ducks, 24 Dec – Mel’s Christmas Eve Pool Party! (Mapua), 31 Dec – New Year’s Eve Morning Tea at Tahunanui Beach

It was great to get together at Natureland – the kids loved all the animal experiences. It was also wonderful to see Max out at Mum’s Group for the first time – dear wee boy.

Let’s help Chloe celebrate her 2nd birthday on Monday with a Birthday Morning Tea Picnic at Washborn Gardens starting at 10am. There is lots of room in this lovely shaded garden to run and play and chase ducks. We’ll have morning tea on the stage and Lorene will bring something sweet to share. Chloe is not expecting gifts – this is our chance to make Chloe the centre of attention while her household is g r o w i n g!
For the Christmas party next week, Santa will be making an appearance around 11am so please wrap and name an inexpensive gift for your child/ren and sneak it into Santa’s Bag in Adrienne’s car when you arrive. We also invited Carla and Heidi (who has just had another wee girl, Grace), our Ante-Natal Class hostesses.
